Looking to develop your nonprofit’s own regular newsletter? With a hefty experience of creating those under my belt, I’m pretty excited to give you a hand with yours!

To begin, you should know that newsletters can be a lot of work. Creating one would require you to regularly do these three things: gather content, draft a layout and then send it out. Sounds simple, right? Well, it’s supposed to be! But, let’s be honest, eventually it gets a bit tedious and time-consuming if you’re not using the right tools. But don't worry though, I'll help you sort that out through Mailchimp.

There is little argument that email and social media platforms like Facebook and Twitter are fast becoming mandatory tools for supporter outreach. These communication channels provide nonprofit organizations with an immediate and effective way to solicit, cultivate, and engage donor support.

From a pure fundraising standpoint, email and social media channels are only effective when the recipient is able to respond immediately to a CTA (call to action). At best, your CTA message is going to be read once, so if that message is compelling enough to cause the recipients to donate, then they must be able to do so immediately.

So what can you do?

An Exchange Server Standard user client access license (CAL) authorizes one user to access Exchange Server Standard or Enterprise edition from any device. For example, an employee might access the server from a computer at work and another at home.

This donation provides one Standard user CAL. Standard device CALs for licensing computers and additive Enterprise CALs (user and device) for accessing additional features are also available.

For additional information about Exchange Server and the server and client licensing requirements, see the Guide to Exchange Server Editions and Licensing.

    Obtaining This Product

Installing this product requires you to download the software from the Volume Licensing Service Center and enter a license key. You can download any available version or language for your product. The license key allows you to install the product on as many computers as you have received licenses for. This quantity is specified in the email you receive from TechSoup after requesting this product.

    Expect two emails:

    1. When your donation request has been approved, TechSoup will send a message to your organization email address. This email will confirm the number of licenses you have requested and provide information about how to use the VLSC once Microsoft accepts your license agreement. Make sure the email address in your organization details is up to date by visiting your account
    2. Microsoft will send an email welcoming your organization to VLSC. This email will indicate that Microsoft has accepted your license agreement. After you receive this email, you'll be able to follow the steps in the first email you received from TechSoup to obtain your donation through the VLSC.
